Vice President of Liberia Jewel Howard Taylor visits Cuban Embassy in Monrovia.

Monrovia, June 7, 2021 - Today at our Cuban Embassy in Liberia, we welcomed the visit of the Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Dr. Jewel Cianeh Howard-Taylor, who was received by the Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.

The Liberian vice-president expressed her joy at being able to complete the visit she had wanted to make to our diplomatic headquarters since last year and expressed her pleasure at reciprocating the visit that the Head of the Cuban Mission had paid her in April.

We noted the mutual commitment to continue advancing in the bilateral agenda and to continue promoting solidarity, brotherhood and cooperation between our countries.

For her part, the Cuban diplomat thanked the distinguished representative of the Liberian government for her visit. She also assured that her presence at the Embassy was an unequivocal expression of the good state of diplomatic relations between both nations. He reiterated the willingness of the Cuban government to strengthen bilateral relations and establish collaborative links for the benefit of both peoples.

At the end of the meeting with the high representative of Liberia, the Cuban diplomat made statements to the Cuban media on Cuba-Liberia relations and the Cuban resolution against the U.S. blockade of the island.
