Vietnamese President values documentary series on ties with Cuba

Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong highly valued the efforts of the Ministries of Defense of his country and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba for the making of the documentary Two Hearts in One Heartbeat.

The connection between the noble revolutionary ideals and the desire to fight for independence, freedom and national liberation fostered sympathy and understanding between the peoples of Vietnam and Cuba, creating a special and beautiful symbolic relationship, he stressed.

In statements amplified by the website of the Defense Ministry’s TV channel, Van Thuong said he was confident that the bilateral ties in this field will be increasingly deepened, effective and sustainable, supported by the good political relations and mutual trust existing between the two countries and their armies.

The documentary Two Hearts in One Heartbeat is the initial installment of the dossier “Vietnam-Cuba Defense Relations, 60 Years of Construction and Development”, whose second and third chapters were filmed in various locations in Cuba.

Two Hearts in One Heartbeat was broadcasted by the Vietnam Ministry of Defense Television and received the National Foreign Information Award, organized annually in this Asian nation.
