With a broad program of activities, the National Network of Solidarity with Cuba in the United States has called for a day against the blockade on the occasion of the presentation and voting on November 2 and 3 before the United Nations of the resolution "Necessity of putting an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba".
The campaign, called "We are with the world", contemplates some thirty actions that will bring together a hundred organizations to demand the elimination of the blockade, the exclusion of Cuba from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism and the lifting of coercive measures that prevent American travel to the island and hinder financial transactions.
According to its organizers, this is one of the largest campaigns that have been carried out throughout the United States in favor of the island and is framed within the framework of the thirtieth anniversary of the presentation of the resolution against the blockade at the UN.
In this sense, the coalition of solidarity organizations will carry out the activities under the slogan "UN Vote 4 Cuba". Among the actions, there will be a march in New York City from the emblematic Times Square building to the United Nations headquarters.
As usual every end of the month and coinciding with this day in Miami, Los Angeles, Seattle, among other cities, the Bridges of Love movement will carry out caravans with messages such as #AbajoelBloqueo, #UnBlockCuba and #MejorSinBloqueo.
The day will conclude with a global 24-hour webcast from November 2 to 3, in which friends of the Caribbean nation from all latitudes of the world will show their rejection of this unjust policy that the United States has maintained against Cuba for more than six decades.
