The Cuban Embassy in Tehran did not want to miss an important event such as the International Women's Day, which is celebrated in many parts of the world, and met to pay homage to all the women who work in the Mission.
In his speech for the occasion, Ambassador Vladimir González Quesada stressed that it has already become a tradition to meet every March 8th to congratulate and charm the Cuban women who share in the work and daily life with the rest of the collective’s members.
Likewise, he stressed that although in Iran it is not usual to celebrate this date, because Women's Day is rejoiced along with Mother's Day, the Embassy also wanted to pay tribute to the Iranian women working there.
To finish the activity, men of the Embassy gave the women flowers and congratulation postcards, and then together they tasted a small buffet.
