Women members of the Consulate General in Toronto participate in March 8 event.

Members of the Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto participated in an event organized by the Association of Wives of Consuls General accredited in Toronto to commemorate International Women's Day.

The meeting was attended by the dean of the consular corps and Consul General of Antigua and Barbuda, as well as consuls general from Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, wives of consuls general, intellectual women, businesswomen and members of social organizations based in Toronto.
During the event, each of the country representatives shared their thoughts on the main achievements in the protection of women in each country and highlighted the importance of the date.

The Cuban representatives recounted the achievements of Cuban women throughout our history, promoted Cuba as a tourist destination and condemned the hostile U.S. policy towards our country.
