Canberra, 25 April, 2023. The National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba (ANEC) and the Association of Economists of Latin America and the Caribbean (AEALC) consider that in order to understand the challenges faced by developing nations, it is essential to recover and update the analysis of the main transformations and trends in the global economy, and the ways in which international economic relations operate today. Consequently, they convene the XIV International Meeting of Economists on Globalization and Development Problems; an international academic event that builds on the experience accumulated in previous meetings, assuming as its fundamental objective the analysis, from a critical approach, of the dominant trends and modifications observed in the contemporary world economy and in the system of international economic relations, in order to assess their implications for the prospects of economic development, with sustainability and social inclusion.
The event will be held in Havana, Cuba, from November 14 to 17, 2023.
