Yemen and Saudi Arabia represented at international health events in Cuba

Riyadh, October 18th - The Republic of Yemen and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are represented by two delegations at the IV International Convention "Cuba-Health 2022", which is taking place in Havana since October 17th until 21st at the Palace of Conventions.

The Yemeni delegation is chaired by the Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Qassem Muhammad Qassem Baheibah, who is accompanied by the Executive General Director of the National Authority for Medicines and Medical Supplies, Dr. Abdul Qader Ahmed Al-Bakri.

For its part, the Saudi delegation is headed by Rakan Khalid Abdullah bin Dohaish, Deputy Assistant for International Collaboration at the Ministry of Health, and it is also integrated by Sami Jabir Zawir Alsolamy, Deputy Assistant for Human Resources Development at that ministry, and Nawaf Theeb Nayef bin Obud, official of the Deputy Undersecretary for International Cooperation.

The convention will focus on discussing an intense health agenda and on establishing a plan until 2030 to achieve the sustainable development goals in the post-Covid stage.

The event will include other activities such as the presentation of 33 scientific works by speakers from 60 different countries, as well as the XV Trade Fair "Health for All" and the I International Exhibition of Medical Tourism and Wellness.

On the sidelines of the international convention, Yemen's health minister, Dr. Qassem Baheibah, held a meeting with Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, to whom he conveyed greetings from Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, President of the Council of Presidential Leadership.

The Saudi delegation will also take advantage of this opportunity to hold bilateral meetings with different Cuban health authorities in order to review cooperation projects. (EmbaCuba Saudi Arabia)
