More than 100 young leaders of movements for social justice in the United States will travel to Cuba to participate in the activities on May 1, International Workers Day.
According to the site of the International Assembly of the Peoples, the schedule planned from next April 29 includes meetings with residents, scientists, artists, union activists, LGBTQ, community and anti -racists to know the effects of the blockade imposed by Washington to the island .
The delegation includes leaders from The People’s Forum, Black Youth Project 100, Dissenters, United Students Against Sweatshops, Answer Coalition, the Palestinian Youth Movement, Codepink, among others.
As reported, under the slogan “Build the future, break the blockade!”, The young people will participate in the May 1 parade of the Plaza de la Revolución, in Havana.
The president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), Fernando González, reported that more than 800 foreign delegates will march here for International Workers Day.
That day the foreign delegations will participate in the parade as an international block and then they will be incorporated into the presidency of the march to witness the appointment, he said.
Cuba will celebrate this year again on May 1 with the traditional marches in this capital and the main cities.
