Havana, Jul 18
Dozens of people participated in Los Angeles in an event of solidarity with Cuba that called for an end to the blockade imposed by successive U.S. governments on the Caribbean nation for more than 60 years.
Activist Carlos Lazo, the coordinator of the 'Bridges of Love' project, told Prensa Latina news agency that the meeting was also aimed at "raising funds for the Saving Lives initiative to take four anesthesia machines to the Carlos J. Finlay Hospital in Havana."
