New day of actions against the blockade in the US

This June 26, as is traditional every month, supportive friends of Cuba came together to demand that the US government put an end to the policy of hostility that it maintains against the people of Cuba. A caravan in the city of Miami was joined by demonstrations and other initiatives in other states of the country such as Oregon and Wisconsin.

CubaSi Coalition demands the lifting of the blockade against Cuba

The Cuban Chargé d´Affaires in Washington DC, Lianys Torres Rivera, highlited on Twitter that on June 26th, friends of the New York-New Jersey CubaSi Coalition gathered at the Diversity Plaza to demand the end of the Blockade against Cuba.

She added that "once again, the voice of the US people is clear asking for friendship, solidarity or engagement instead of coercive measures". 

 

Alders Weigh Cuba Embargo/New Haven Independent

U.S.-Cuba diplomacy was the topic of discussion at City Hall, as alders advanced a measure calling on the president ​“to build a new cooperative relationship” with the Caribbean nation.

The occasion was a hearing Thursday night held by the New Haven Board of Alders Health and Human Services Committee.

Solidarity of Bridges of Love and US students headed to Cuba

Washington, Jun 22 (Prensa Latina) With a milk powder cargo for Cuban pediatric hospitals, a group of 40 students from the United States will arrive in Havana on Wednesday along with the activist Carlos Lazo, coordinator of the Bridges of Love project.

The young people, who are also accompanied by some of their parents, are excited to lend a hand to the people of Cuba, Lazo told Prensa Latina shortly before leaving for Cuba from Miami.
