Cuba has fully vaccinated 87.7 percent of population against Covid-19

According to the MINSAP report, 10,554,915 Cubans have received at least one shot of the homegrown Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala vaccines, including convalescent patients, who have been administered a single dose of Soberana Plus.

The second dose has been administered to 9,339,080 people, and 9,005,554 have received the third shot.

Some 4,876,009 people, over 40 percent of the population, have received the booster shot.

Family Code contains issues of interest for Cubans abroad

Havana, January 21

The draft bill of the new Family Code to be debated in Cuba from February to April will contain issues such as the flow of travelers and the transnationality of the Cuban family, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on Friday.

Ernesto Soberon, general director of of Consular Affairs and Cuban Residents Abroad Department at the Foreign Ministry, stressed in Facebook that due to their experiences on living in Cuba and in other societies, the Cuban residents abroad will make an important contribution to the debate of the legal body.

Nachito Herrera makes donation of musical instruments to Amadeo Roldán Music School

The Cuban musician living in the U.S., Ignacio (Nachito) Herrera, donated musical instruments to the Amadeo Roldán Music School in order to contribute with the development of artistic studies in the same country he was trained as a musician. 

A new bridge of love is built by the Cuban composer and pianist, who has lived in the U.S. for over 20 years and is visiting Cuba to perform at the 2022 Jazz Plaza International Festival.
