Defending the Cuban identity is not difficult if it is done with the truth

With the desire to reconnect with his roots, to visit what he considers his home, the outstanding Cuban pianist, Nachito Herrera, went to the Cuban Embassy in the United States, in the framework of the National Culture Day.

Emilio Cueto: Cuban culture is extraordinary.

Cuban Culture Day celebrated in the United States to the rhythm of the casino

With a dance class of Cuban rhythms by Professor Stephen Jackson, another day of celebrations for the National Day of Cuban Culture took place at one of the venues of BusBoys and Poets.

The Rueda de Casino project from Baltimore was in charge of livening up the night and bringing through different rhythms such as casino, salsa and rumba, the most genuine of Cuba.

During the celebration, the participants exchanged with officials of the Cuban Embassy in Washington about the musical variety of the Island and the cultural richness of the Caribbean nation.

Cuban Embassy in Washington D.C. Celebrates National Culture Day

Today we celebrate the 154th anniversary of the intonation for the first time of the notes of the National Anthem, a historic event that became a symbol of our culture and marked a turning point in the development of our identity as a nation. With these words of the head of the Cuban Mission in Washington D.C., Lianys Torres Rivera, the political-cultural activity began this October 20 at the diplomatic headquarters.
