Celebration of celebrating 44 anniversary of estableishing bilateral relation between Grenada and Cuba

On the occasion of celebrating the 44 anniversary of establishing bilateral relationship between Grenada and Cuba I would like to reaffirm the will to maintain the bonds of brotherhood, mutual support and cooperation between our nations.

Relations between our countries are historic and marked by strong ties and deep roots. I take this opportunity to convey a greeting from the Cuban people and Government to the people and Government of Grenada.

NNP condemns attack on Cuban doctors and other health care professionals

The New National Party is extremely alarmed and dismayed by the recent attacks, discrediting the performance of the Cuban doctors and other health care professionals.

These health practitioners continue to serve the people of Grenada especially the poor who do not have the financial resources to travel abroad for medical attention.

What is even more alarming and should raise grave concerns among all Grenadians is the deafening silence of the present government.

Health care remains an utmost priority for the government and people of the Republic of Cuba and they continue to do their best to assist other countries in developing and maintaining the best health systems.

Cuba considers public health a fundamental right and a responsibility of the State.
