Cuban Medical Brigade in Saint Lucia celebrates Scientific Day.

 

Cuban health specialists working in Saint Lucia, as part of the Medical Brigade, held their scientific day last Saturday. The event was presided over by the Chief of the Brigade, Dr. Arvelio Ballester and the inauguration of this edition had the welcome participation of Doctor Alisha Eugene-Ford, Director of the Owen King Hospital, the main medical center in the country, and the Cuban Ambassador, Alejandro Simancas.

Saint Lucia expresses its solidarity with Cuba at the UN General Assembly.

Saint Lucia raised her voice against the blockade and in recognition of Cuban medical collaboration during the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The Prime Minister, Honorable Allen Chastanet, intervened on Saturday, September 26 to highlight in his speech: “I also wish to offer sincere gratitude and commendation to the countries who stepped up to the challenge, in the truest spirit of solidarity to assist states like my own, to cushion the pandemic’s blow to our socio-economic landscape. This support has been immeasurable.

The Anniversary of Bilateral Relations between Cuba and Saint Lucia is celebrated

The Humanistic Association of Solidarity Cuba - Santa Lucia held its annual meeting last Saturday, august 29, which was dedicated on this occasion to the 41st anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations between the two countries and to the 15th anniversary of the Association. The meeting was chaired by the President of the Association, Marlene Alexander, and the Cuban Ambassador, Alejandro Simancas. In addition, the former Governor General of Saint Lucia, Dame Pearlette Louisy was in attendance, as well as members of the Executive Committee of the Association,

The flags of Cuba and Saint Lucia were displayed together this Saturday, August 15th, at the top of Gros Piton. The Ambassador, Alejandro Simancas and his family, along with more than forty members of the Cuban Medical Brigade working in Saint Lucia, climbed to the top of this emblematic and beautiful mountain.

Saint Lucia-Cuba Solidarity Association remember’s Fidel Castro with gratitude.

The Saint Lucia-Cuba Humanistic Solidarity Association (HSA) joins the people and Government of Cuba in observance of the 94th Anniversary of the birth of their immortal leader, the late President and Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro. He will remain a revolutionary icon, in our hearts, our souls and our spirits forever.  HSA still remembers him in a very special way and again express our profound gratitude to the Government and people of Cuba, for continuing to develop and honour the revolution for which Fidel fought and died.
