The nomination of the Henry Reeve Medical Brigade for the Nobel Peace award has continued to gain support in Saint Lucia. The National Medical and Dental Association through its President, Doctor Merle Clarke, and the Guild of Cuban Graduates, also through its President, Jamal Francis, have conveyed to the Embassy of Cuba their support for this nomination as a sign of the recognition of the humanitarian work of the Cuban health professionals, represented in the Henry Reeve Brigade.

Patriotic contribution from Cubans in Saint Lucia to the fight against the coronavirus

In the past few days a patriotic and solidarity initiative was materialized by a group of Cuban residents in Saint Lucia, who decided to make a donation to contribute to the fight against Covid-19 in Cuba. Yanet Borrego, Daile Cedeño, Gilberto Aranguren, Pedro Font and Yoel Rondon took on this gesture on behalf of the Patriotic Association of Cuban Residents in Saint Lucia and sent a donation through a bank transfer to the Cuban Public Health System.

The Humanistic Solidarity Association (Saint Lucia - Cuba) announced in a statement its support for the international campaign to propose the Cuban Medical Brigade Henry Reeve for the Nobel Peace Prize. In the declaration the Association expresses its wish to associate itself with the excellent idea of the condecoration of the Cuban Medical Brigade - Henry Reeve, with the Nobel Peace Prize award.
