Direct flight inaugurated between Cuba and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Kingstown, April 1. In the presence of Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves, ministers, officials, special guests and representatives of the press media, a welcoming ceremony was held for the inaugural flight of the Venezuelan airline Conviasa, which links the three sister nations.

The Cuban ambassador, José Manuel Leyva Ventura, in his remarks, recalled that the construction of the Argyle International Airport, which received this new route, a few weeks ago celebrated its sixth anniversary and was also the result of the collaboration between our countries.

Young people from St. Vincent and the Grenadines will travel to pursue higher education in Cuba.

Kingstown, January 13. The Cuban Embassy hosted a meeting with young Vincentians who will be traveling to Cuba in the coming days to pursue higher education.

During the pleasant exchange, Ambassador José M. Leyva Ventura told them about the history of our country, the current situation, the characteristics and benefits of the educational system and the vocation of solidarity that moves and unites us.

Cuba Solidarity Movement in St. Vincent and the Grenadines delivers donation to restore damage from Hurricane Ian.

On the occasion of the closing of the National Culture Day in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, an activity was held with a large presence of members of the Association of Cuban Residents "Juan Almeida Bosque", members of the Solidarity Movement of SVG-CUBA and government officials.

Cuban-Vicentian girl wins Literary Award.

Kingstown, July 1. For the second consecutive year, Cuban-Vicentine girl Isabella Sam Nodarse won First Place in the National Literary Arts Contest held in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of this sister Caribbean nation.

On this occasion, 202 works were presented in four categories: History, Essay, Poetry and Narrative. The award was presented by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Keissal Melissa Peters, who highlighted the excellence and dedication of the winner.

Important group of Cuban health collaborators concludes its mission. We welcome new compatriots in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Kingstown, April 8. With deep joy for the duty fulfilled, we bid farewell to twenty-one health collaborators, who worked in an exemplary manner in this sister country for almost four years. This contingent is the initial group that began their work in May 2018 at the Georgetown Hospital, which was built with Cuban assistance. They also worked in the main hospital center of located in the capital and in polyclinics and remote regions of the Vincentian geography.
