40th ANNIVERSARY OF TERRORIST CARNAGE IN CARIBBEAN

Thursday, October 6, 2016 marks the 40th anniversary of one of the biggest man-made human tragedy in the modern history of the Caribbean. Forty years ago, long before our peaceful region got accustomed to the dreaded word “terrorism” or the heinous deeds of terrorists, 68 young Caribbean citizens, mostly from Cuba (57) but also from Guyana (11), were among the 73 persons aboard a Cuban plane, CU 455, which was blown up just after it took off from Barbados.

THE AMBASSADOR OF CUBA WAS RECEIVED BY THE MINISTER OF TOURISM, SPORTS AND CULTURE OF SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES.

The Ambassador of Cuba, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, was received in audience by Mr. Cecil McKie, Minister of Tourism, Sports and Culture of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

During the meeting, the parties agreed in favor of the strengthening of the cooperation and the coordination of actions between Cuba and Saint Vincent in the spheres of the culture, the sport and the tourism, as much as bilateral as in regional.

THE DIRECTIVE OF CUBAN RESIDENTS IN SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES DEBATE ON REPORT OF CUBA ABOUT BLOCKADE

The Ambassador of Cuba met with the directive of the small Cuban community in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, within the framework of which the presentation of the report of Cuba was made, on the resolution 70 / 5 of the United Nations Assembly General "The need to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America against Cuba."
