Cuba present at the celebration of Namibia's 35th Anniversary of Independence from Finland
The Cuban Embassy in Finland participated in the celebration of Namibia's 35th Anniversary of Independence, held in the Crypt of Helsinki Cathedral. During his keynote address, the Ambassador of Namibia, HE Mr. Charles B. Josob, referred to the importance of international support for achieving independence, mentioning among those countries the support of the courageous Cuban combatants who confronted the forces of apartheid. Cuban ambassador, Ms. Beatriz Parra González, extended her congratulations to Namibia on behalf of the people and governments of Cuba, and noted the coincidence of the date with the visit of Prime Minister Manuel Marrero to her country, a sign of the close ties that unite both nations.
