Cuban culture is projected from Puistokulma in Finland

Ambassador Beatriz Parra González arrived at the PuistoKulma cultural center in the province of Vantaa to learn about the excellent projects to promote Cuban cultural values, which are planned for 2025 from this center, with the support of the Cuban-Finnish project "Havana Pink" and other spaces associated with Caribbean culture in Finland. The Caribbean representative thanked Cuba for its presence in this center, which is visited by more than a hundred retirees every week to share music, dance and other cultural events. She also appreciated the words of recognition from choreographer Juan Juan José Pujals, a Cuban resident for three decades in this Nordic nation, for the support offered by the Ambassador, as a pillar of her management, to the promotion of the cultural values of Cuba in Finland, a stage that is about to conclude.

Cuban Ambassador shares appreciation to President of Estonia for the collaboration received during her accreditation to Tallin

During the recent celebrations in Helsinki for the 107th Anniversary of Estonia's independence, the Ambassador of Cuba, HE. Beatriz Parra González, had the opportunity to greet the President of Estonia, HE. Mr. Alar Karis. During this exchange, the Cuban diplomat reiterated the message of greeting to Estonia on its national day sent by President Miguel Díaz-Canel and took the moment to express her gratitude for Estonia's support for Cuba in the resolution against the US blockade. Cuban Ambassador also shared her gratitude to Estonia, its government and Foreign Ministry for the collaboration established during her time in Helsinki, which will conclude next April.

Catholic Bishop of Helsinki is received at the Cuban Embassy

On the afternoon of this Friday, the Cuban Embassy in Finland had the pleasure of receiving the Bishop of the Diocese of Helsinki of the Catholic Church, HE Raimo Goyarrola. During the exchange, Ambassador Beatriz Parra González and Consul Adalberto Ávila Parra conveyed the best wishes for the prompt recovery of the Holy Father, Pope Francis, from his recent illness, expressed from Cuba by President Miguel Díaz-Canel. The exchange also highlighted the excellent relations between Cuba and the Holy See, reflected in the visits of the last three Supreme Pontiffs, John Paul II (1998), Benedict XVI (2012) and Pope Francis (2015).

Finland-Cuba Association shares tribute to the work and life of Cuban singer-songwriter, Paulo FG

Paulo FG, one of the most important influences in Cuban popular music in recent decades, has died. Paulo Fernández Gallo died on Saturday in a car accident on the Malecón in Havana. Finland played its own role in Paulito FG's career. In 1989 he collaborated with Opus 13 led by Joaquín Betancourt and recorded an album containing mainly his own songs. This project marked Paulito's international debut, which began with performances at the winter carnival in Helsinki and took the artist on his first tours to Mexico.

The feelings of Cuba present in the posthumous farewell in Finland to the beloved founding father of Namibia Sam Nujoma

The Embassy of Cuba in Finland accompanied the posthumous service in memory of the former President Sam Nujoma, Founding President and Father of Namibia, organized by the Embassy of Namibia in Helsinki with the support of the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission church Suomen Lähetysseura. The Cuban representative, Beatriz Parra González, gave the Ambassador of Namibia, Charles B Josob, and his wife a bouquet of flowers dedicated in the name of the Cuban people and government to such a special friend that Cuba will miss deeply.
