At the II Summit of the States of Latin America and the Caribbean (CELAC) at Havana in 2014, Latin America was declarated as a Peace Zone. This proclamation was ratified at the V Summit of CELAC in Dominican Republic on January 25, 2017, at an special declaration in favou of theTotal and complete disarmament.

Last February 12, the Hellenic Cuban Association of Friendship in Tesaloniki , Greece, celebrated the 58 Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution with a political and cultural activity with Cuban and Greek Music. It was emphasized the importance of the Cuban Revolution as symbol of socialism, of struggle and resistance and as example for the world.
