Remember the legacy of Fidel in Greece

Last March 7 was held and activity at the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Athens to Remember the legacy of the Commander of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro. The important event was organized by the Cultural Asocation José Martí of Solidarity with Cuba and th Association Giannis Kordatos. More than 150 people from different sectors of the Greek society, Cubn resident in Athens, and representatives of the Embassies of Cuba and Venezuela were present at that public event.

Meeting with the Hellenic Cuban Friendship Association in Athens

Last March 3, at the residence of the Ambassador of Cuba in Greece Zelmys María Domínguez Cortina was made a meeting with the Hellenic Cuban Friendship Association . In a relaxed environment there were discussed some nowdays topics on Cuba, like the fight against the blockade of USA towards Cuba, the relations between Cuba and USA, the updated of the Cuban economic and social model, the role of Cuba in Latin America, among other issues of interest. The solidarity with Cuba from the Greeks friends were once again reaffirmed.

It was created the Association of Cuban residents in Tessaloniki, Greece

Past February 26, 2017 Cubans resident in the northern and important city of Tessaloniki in Greece, held a cheerful, patriotic and fraternal exchange with the Ambassador and the Consul of the Embassy of Cuba in Greece , ocassion in which the Cubans agreed, in an enthusiastic and unanimous way, to create the Association of Cuban residents in Tessaloniki, electing the fellow countrywoman Maria Julia Villegas Rodríguez as Head of the association.

Latin America Peace Zone in favour of Disarmament

At the II Summit of the States of Latin America and the Caribbean (CELAC) at Havana in 2014, Latin America was declarated as a Peace Zone. This proclamation was ratified at the V Summit of CELAC in Dominican Republic on January 25, 2017, at an special declaration in favou of theTotal and complete disarmament.
