EDITORIAL OF "GRANMA": A Giron in July

This people has fought tirelessly for its independence. He wins every time they try to drown him, he stands irreverent against those who try to steal his right to decide how to live; therefore, it will never bow to provocations or threats

 

The month of July is for Cuban men and women an unequivocal synonym of Revolution. This month is the glorious 26, in which the Apostle was reborn to guide, from the immensity of his legacy, Fidel and the entire generation that continued the irreversible path towards the full dignity of Cuba.

So much human greatness, so much sacrifice, so much history, are sacred causes; symbolic expressions of our perseverance, resistance, principles and sense of justice.

July 11: instigation and introspection.

Let us confess that it is, at least shocking or contradictory, when some speak of July 11 of last year in a tone of "celebration."

What should be celebrated?, would be the question that would immediately come to the fore. Perhaps the shock caused in many revolutionaries by the surprising events of that date in various cities of the country deserve a similar tone?

THE DOCUMENTARY DEDICATED TO THE FIVE HEROES IS PROJECTED IN A RENOWNED DUBLIN CINEMA.

Dublin, July 1, 2022. The award-winning documentary by Irish film directors Ollie Aslin and Gary Lennon, “The Castro Spies”, premiered last Friday at the renowned Irish Film Institute, thus beginning a cycle of its exhibition at public. Based on the lives of the Five Cuban Heroes, the film addresses the reasons that led the Cuban Government to penetrate the terrorist organizations that from the United States had acted against the Cuban Revolution in the 1990s, dismantling the falsehood with solid and visible arguments of the qualification of "spies" to the protagonists.

PRESIDENT OF THE SINN FEIN PARTY OF IRELAND RECEIVES THE CUBAN AMBASSADOR.

Dublin, June 22, 2022. The President of the Sinn Féin Party, Mary Lou McDonald, received today at the Parliament, the Cuban ambassador to Ireland, Bernardo Guanche Hernández. During the meeting, the party leader showed her friendship and solidarity with Cuba, she rejected the economic, commercial and financial blockade maintained by the United States against the Caribbean country, as well as it inclusion in the List of Countries Sponsors of Terrorism.
