The Hague, September 14, 2023. Students and professors from the Leiden University Medical Center visited the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in the Netherlands.
During the visit they received a conference on the Cuban Health System, which serves as a reference for the subsequent academic exchange program that they will develop in Cuba with the National School of Public Health of Cuba. The month-long Program includes visits to Cuban doctors' offices, polyclinics and health centers.
Rotterdam, September 8, 2023. Exhibition "The Cuban Connection" of Cuban artists at the Atelier Herenplaats, in the city of Rotterdam.
Representatives of the Cuban Embassy in the Netherlands visited the gallery where plastic works of Cuban creators, exponents of Art Brut, of great talent and artistic sensitivity, were exhibited.
These artists create in response to a strong intrinsic motivation and often work with unconventional materials and techniques.
The exchange served to promote the work of these Cuban artists.
Haarlem, September 6, 2023. Our Embassy once again had the pleasure of accompanying Coro Cantoro and its interpretations of traditional Cuban music, this time in the city of Haarlem. Composed of Dutch amateur artists, Coro Cantoro demonstrates how universal the culture of the Greater Antilles is, and how it can be represented by artists from the most diverse geographies.
Two Argentine musicians also participated in the entertaining show, demonstrating with piano, voice and accordion why Tango is Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
The Hague, September 5, 2023. Representatives of the "Cuba Juntos" project, made up of Dutch family doctors and nurses, together with students and professors from the Leiden University Medical Center, visited the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Netherlands.
During the visit, they received a lecture on the Cuban Health System, as a prelude to the academic exchange program they are developing with the Cuban National School of Public Health, which takes them to visit Cuban medical offices, polyclinics and health centers such as the Diabetic Center.
