New normal fase in Cuba

Czech Republic, October 20th, 2020. - “All airports open for commercial flights, except Havana” / since 19.10.2020

Regarding international mobility, Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila Minister of Transport of Cuba, pointed out that all international airports are already open for commercial flights, except the Havana airport, which will remain limited to humanitarian and cargo flights for the time being, and the Cayo Coco airport, open only for tourism based on the current situation in the province of Ciego de Ávila.

The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) while reiterating its solidarity with all those who suffer and resist the scourge of the new coronavirus, expresses its deepest gratitude to the Solidarity Movement with Cuba and to all the friends who have supported our people in the difficult situation faced by humanity due to the COVID-19 incidence. 

Cuba’s Improbable Medical Prowess in Asia.

Cuba is developing a foothold in Asia with its biotechnology. COVID-19 is likely to expand that cooperation still further.

April 24th, 2020. In stark contrast to the medical nationalism of the United States and some other Western countries, a small Caribbean nation has emerged as a beacon of international solidarity in the global war against the coronavirus. Cuba has set an improbable record, sending medical teams to 19 countries in less than two weeks.

Call for the 60th Anniversary Campaign of ICAP

The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples since its creation, on December 30, 1960 by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, has been the confirmation of the innovative ideas and the solidarity essence of the Cuban Revolution.

During all these years we have developed our solidarity work, despite the permanent economic, commercial and financial blockade, and the increasing imperial hostility; today accentuated with the revitalization of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act, the sanctions imposition and coercive measures on countries trying to trade with Cuba.
