ICAP's European Director holds fruitful programme in the UK.

London, 17 June 2024- With a meeting with friends of the Cuba Solidarity Campaign (CSC) in the Scottish city of Glasgow on 12 June, the European Director of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, Rigoberto Zarza Ross, began his visit to Great Britain.

The work programme, which runs until 23 June, also includes meetings with other local CSC groups, a solidarity fringe meeting with the island in the framework of the UNISON trade union conference and a speech at the plenary session of the annual CSC Assembly.

London, 13 June 2024- Last night, the British Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers' Union (RMT) hosted a major Cuba solidarity event that brought together trade union leaders from different sectors, prospective parliamentary candidates, members of the Solidarity Campaign (CSC) and friends of Cuba.

On May 28, the Government of the United States finally announced a group of measures aimed at implementing the policy announced on May 16, 2022.  The purpose of this step, according to the text published by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), is to support the private sector in Cuba.
