London, 24 May 2024- Yesterday afternoon, the Second Secretary to the Cuban Embassy, Aymée Díaz Negrín, and the director of the Cuba Solidarity Campaign (CSC), Rob Miller, gave an update on the situation on the island to delegates at the annual Fire Brigades Union Conference taking place in the city of Blackpool this week.
London, 15 May 2024- Members of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Cuba (APPG) and other friends of the island in the British Parliament received Ambassador Ismara Mercedes Vargas Walter yesterday, who recently arrived in the UK.

London, 22 April 2024- This month the Cuban Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ismara M. Vargas Walter, held a cordial meeting with the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Britain (CPB), Robert Griffiths.
Vargas Walter expressed her deepest thanks to Griffiths for the traditional solidarity given by the CPB and its youth organisation, the Young Communist League, to the Cuban people, against the blockade imposed by the US government for more than 60 years and in defence of Cuba's sovereignty and self-determination.
