“San Ernesto nace en la Higuera” screened at the Freedom Centre, in Accra.

Accra, June 14, 2022. - The documentary “San Ernesto nace en la Higuera” (Saint Ernest is born in La Higuera) kicked off a discussion on the life and work of Ernesto Che Guevara at the Freedom Centre in Accra this evening.

 

Dr Kwesi Pratt Jnr, General Secretary of the Socialist Movement of Ghana and historic leader of Solidarity with Cuba was the moderator and the keynote speaker was Hon. Kofi Attor, Vice Chairman of the NDC, former Member of Parliament and Senior Advisor at the Speaker's Secretariat.

 

Health Day celebrated in North Tongu District

North Tongu, June 11, 2022. - With the attention to more than 1600 patients, the state mission of Cuba in Ghana carried out a Health Day in the North Tongu district, marking the beginning of the activities for June 14, the anniversary of the birth of Ernesto Ché Guevara.

 

Doctors from the Cuban Medical Brigade in Ghana teamed up with local doctors to provide free medical care to the villagers, who also received medicines as a donation from the Member of Parliament for the constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

 

Cuba Solidarity Campaign pays tribute to Africa Day.

Accra, 26 May 2022. – Honouring with their presence, representatives from 15 countries and organisations across the continent participated in the event held at the Cuban Embassy in Ghana to pay special tribute to Africa Day, at the invitation of the Cuba Solidarity Campaign organization.

Accra, 21 May 2022. - In Accra, near the Tema port area, the event was organised in coordination with the Ghana Trade Union Congress, TUC.

 

The programme began with a welcome to the Cubans by Mrs. Deborah Freeman, General Secretary of UNIWA and President of WESEDNET, followed by the words of comrade Naa Ayele Adifio, Communications Officer of the TUC and Chairperson of the Cuba Solidarity Campaign in Ghana. Then Mrs. Mary Karimu, Head of International Relations of the TUC, took the floor.
