New members of the Cuban Medical Brigade arrive in Ghana

Twelve new members of the Cuban Medical Brigade (CMB) in Ghana arrived in the sub-Saharan country; they were received at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra by Ambassador Pedro Luis Despaigne González; Dr. Hafez Adam Taher, Head of External Health Cooperation of the Ministry of Health and by the Head of the Cuban Medical Mission in the country, Dr. Mercedes Suárez Orama.

Ghanaian graduates in Cuba hold a farewell activity to the Cuban Ambassador

The Association of Ghanaian Graduates in Cuba (ESBECAN), within the framework of the celebration of the 68th Anniversary of the Assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, held a farewell activity to the Cuban Ambassador, Pedro L. Despaigne González and his wife, who conclude their mission in Ghana.

 

Cuban Medical Mission renews its presence in Ghana

The change in the leading of the Cuban Medical Mission in Ghana took place at the Embassy of Cuba in Accra with the presence of the Ambassador Pedro Luis Despaigne González and Dr. Hafez Adam Taher, Head of External Health Cooperation, Ghana Ministry of Health.

The document was signed by Dr. Ana Lubín García, outgoing Head of the Cuban Medical Mission in the country and Dr. Mercedes Suárez Orama, incoming Head, with the presence of incoming and outgoing members of the Cuban Medical Brigade (CMB), as well as member of the staff of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission.

Ghana and Cuba renew Health Cooperation Agreement

The Ministry of Health of Ghana and the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba signed an Agreement by means of which the cooperation in health matters between both countries is renewed, which enables the provision of healthcare services in Ghana by a Cuban Medical Brigade (CMB).

 

The Ghanaian Minister of Health, Mr. Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, signed for the Ghanaian side, while the Ambassador, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, on behalf of the Cuban Minister of Health, Dr. José Ángel Portal Miranda did it for the Cuban side.
