Ghanaian Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw, represented the African continent in the virtual meeting "Solidarity vs. Blockade" sponsored by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
The Ambassador of Cuba to Ghana, Pedro Luis Despaigne González and the Registrar of the Ghana Scholarships Secretariat of the host country, Mr. Kingsley Agyemang, held a fruitful meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.
Both parties addressed issues of bilateral interest and agreed to continue working to strengthen cooperation ties in the field of professional preparation carried out by Ghanaian students and professionals at Cuban Medical Universities.
The staff of the Embassy of Cuba in Ghana, led by the Ambassador, Pedro Luis Despaigne González, participated in the Virtual Forum organized by the Africa and the Middle East Division of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), on the occasion of the 94th birthday of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro; the event also featured the participation of a representation of Ghanaian graduates in Cuba.
The Embassy of Cuba and the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba in Ghana commemorated the 67th Anniversary of the Day of National Rebellion, which was held for the first time in Ghana in a non-personal manner, as establish the sanitary provisions for the confrontation with Covid-19 pandemic.
