Embassy of Cuba shows documentary about the Cuban reality.

Members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Namibia, brothers and sisters of the Namibia-Cuba Friendship Association, collaborators and Cuban residents enjoyed the screening of the documentary "Cuba, stories of an endless Revolution". The occasion was also favorable for Ambassador Giraldo Mazola to explain to the attendees the results obtained by Cuba this year in the Third Cycle of the Universal Periodic Review in Human Rights, in the Human Rights Council of the United Nations.

The Deputy Secretary General of SWAPO and rector of the school of that political organization, Marcus Haifiku, received the Cuban Ambassador, Giraldo Mazola, at its headquarters. At the meeting, ways were analyzed to strengthen the links between the School of the SWAPO and the Higher School of the Communist Party of Cuba "Ñico López".

The Namibian leader was accompanied by several members of the Board of Directors of the School, among whom stands out the Secretary General of the SWAPO Women's League, Eunice Iipingu,. On the Cuban side also attended Aldo Fuentes, Third Secretary of our diplomatic mission.

The Ambassador used also the opportunity to donate to the SWAPO Party School about 400 books, property of the Embassy of Cuba. The collection is composed by books of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, of the National Poet of Cuba Nicolás Guillen, about the history of Cuba and international politics. Also, among the copies stand out English editions of the books of the Italo-American author Piero Gleijeses: Missions in Conflict and Visions of Freedom. Both copies relate objectively the Cuban presence in Africa from 1959 to 1991.

Rector Haufiku deeply thanked the contribution made by the Embassy of Cuba to the institution. He added that these materials will contribute profoundly to the improvement of the cadres and leaders of SWAPO.

Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources of Namibia receives Cuban collaborators.

The Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources of Namibia, Bernard Esau, received at the headquarters of that ministry six Cuban aquaculture experts, who work in this country. The collaborators were accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Namibia, Giraldo Mazola.

Minister Esau referred to the aquaculture plans that will be developed in different regions of the country and the challenges they face, as well as praised the work done by the group of Cuban experts and expressed their interest in strengthening and expanding this collaboration.

In the same way, the Minister and the Ambassador highlighted the magnificent bonds of friendship and solidarity existing between both governments and peoples.
