Díaz-Canel: US, Cuba could cooperate

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel today underscored opportunities of cooperation between the island and the United States were the US government to abandon its hostile policy of economic, trade and financial blockade.

Through his Twitter account, Díaz-Canel reflected on these opportunities and shared an article on the clinical study of the Cuban vaccine against lung cancer by the New York-based Roswell Park Institute.

More than 25.3 million anti-Covid-19 doses administered in Cuba

Havana, Oct 26 (Prensa Latina) A total of 25 million 357 thousand 844 doses of immunizers against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, that causes Covid-19, were administered in Cuba, the Health Ministry reported today.

According to the ministry's website, nine million 805 thousand 148 people have received a first dose of the Cuban vaccines, while the second has been administered to eight million 808 thousand 107 and the third to six million 744 thousand 499.

The decision is one of struggle and victory.

With the presence of Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, the closing ceremony of the second plenary session of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee took place Sunday, October 24, in Havana’s Convention Palace, with Party First Secretary and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, presenting the keynote address.
