Worldwide rejection of Cuba's inclusion in the U.S. list grows

Havana, 10 July 2024 - Almost fifty governments around the world have so far rejected the inclusion of Cuba in the State Department's list of countries that sponsor terrorism. To this demand the statements of rejection by movements, organisations, institutions, activists and international personalities who have denounced this designation as unjust and arbitrary have been added.

More than 100 young doctors trained in Cuba graduate from medical school

Johannesburg, 05 July 2024 - More than 100 young South Africans that studied in Cuban medical schools graduated today. The 103 new doctors come from seven of the nine provinces of South Africa. The newly graduated doctors said they were a testament to the vision of two extraordinary leaders, Nelson Mandela and Fidel Castro, and an example of what can be achieved through cooperation in human development.

These bills are about unity among Cubans

Havana, 27 June 2024 - The draft laws on migration, foreigners and citizenship are proof of the political decision to strengthen relations with residents abroad and update migration legislation in line with the characteristics of the Cuban migration process and international policies. The bills are currently being analysed with deputies before being presented to the Third Ordinary Session of the Cuban Parliament in July.

Cuba joins South Africa's lawsuit against Israel before the International Court of Justice.

Havana, June 22, 2024.- The government of the Republic of Cuba has decided to intervene in the contentious procedure initiated by the Republic of South Africa against the State of Israel before the International Court of Justice. Cuba will make use of its right to present, as a Third State, its interpretation of the norms of the Convention that Israel has flagrantly violated with its actions in the illegally occupied Palestinian territory of the Gaza Strip.

Cuban Deputy President concludes fruitful visit to South Africa

Pretoria, 20 June 2024 - The Deputy President of the Republic of Cuba, Salvador Valdés Mesa, concluded a fruitful visit to South Africa, where he attended the inauguration of the recently re-elected President, Cyril Ramaphosa, to whom he greeted at the ceremony. He also met other important political figures, as well as the staff and officials from the State Mission and the Cuban collaborators working in South Africa.
