Harare, April 2, 2024.- The Counsellor of the Cuban Embassy in Zimbabwe, Yoisy Ford García, on behalf of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Harare, wished good travels and success to the young zimbabwean Lesley Gwati who will begin her studies in the Latin American School of Medicine.
Lesley will join 7 other young people from her country who are studying university degrees on the Caribbean island. The head of the Cuban Medical Brigade, Dr. Maria Eugenia García Céspedes, as well as the parents and other relatives of the Young Woman, were also present on the occasion.
Harare, March 5, 2024- Members of the Cuban diplomatic and medical missions in Zimbabwe participated in an act of solidarity at the Palestinian Embassy, demanding an immediate ceasefire and genocide against the population, which has caused thousands of victims in the Gaza Strip. Also present were representatives of civil society organizations such as the Anti-Sanctions Movement of Zimbabwe and the director of the Zimbabwean Institute of Diplomacy, V. A. Chikanda
Harare, February 15, 2024.- The Charge d'Affaires of Cuba in Harare, Ambassador Yenielys Vilma Regueiferos Linares receives the patron of the Zimbabwe-Cuba Friendship Association, Hon. Chen Chimutengwende.
Chimutengwende has supported the Cuban Revolution for more than 40 years since his appointments to government positions, regional and international organizations during the course of his long life, defending justice and liberation struggles in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Harare, February 14, 2024. Tinashe Chikayiwa and Perseverance Segaetso are Zimbabwean students who are proud of being chosen by their government to study Medicine and Computer Engineering respectively and contribute in the future to the development of their country. The young people proceeded to the ceremony to sign the ballots for the assigned university studies.
