ZICUFA patron holds meeting with Ambassador of Cuba

Today, the patron of the Zimbabwe-Cuba Friendship Association (ZICUFA), Hon. Chen Chimutengwende, held a luncheon with Cuban ambassador Carmelina Ramirez. The lunch was welcoming the Ambassador as head of the Cuban diplomatic mission and Cuba's main representative in Zimbabwe. Chen, who is also president of the Cuba-Zimbabwe Parliamentary Friendship Group, reiterated the deep bonds of friendship that exist between both countries and the excellent relations that existed between our historical leaders: Fidel Castro and Robert Mugabe.

Embassy of Cuba in Harare pays homage to the 165th anniversary of the Apostle

The Cuban embassy in Zimbabwe paid tribute to the 165th anniversary of the birth of José Martí with a simple exhibition of photos of Fidel, his Martí's thought and his friendly meetings with African leaders. The exhibition took place at SAPES Trust, a regional political studies center in Harare, and was attended by ambassadors of the region, members of the diplomatic corps, members of ZICUFA, Zimbabwean graduates in Cuba, Cuban collaborators and Cubans living in Zimbabwe.

Cuba and Ethiopia, a special friendship

Ambassador of Ethiopia in Zimbabwe Mustafe Dek Abdisalam considers the friendship between his country and Cuba as something very special. During the courtesy hearing made by the Ambassador of Cuba, Carmelina Ramirez, the Ambassador of Ethiopia enhanced the bonds of friendship and cooperation with our country, written with the blood shed by the Cuban fighters in the war against the Somali invasion. Cuba for the Ethiopians is a close neighbor, despite the great physical distance that separates both nations, Cuba is not far away.

Zimbabwe guarantees support for Cuba against the Blockade

Zimbabwe guaranteed support for Cuba against the economic blockade imposed by the United States on the Caribbean island at the African Union Summit. This happened at a meeting held on the morning of Wednesday the 24th between the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Vladimir Guerra and Chakurangeyi Mutodza, Acting Director of Continental Affairs of the Foreign Ministry.

At the 30th Ordinary Session of the African Union Summit, a resolution will be presented against the unjust blockade of Cuba, as has been done in recent years.

Ambassador of Cuba holds meeting with ambassador of Botswana

Today Ambassador of Cuba in Harare made a courtesy visit to her Botswana counterpart Louis M. Fisher.
The meeting offered the opportunity to share points of view on the history of Africa, the decisive participation of Cuba in Cuito Cuanavale, in Angola, historical fact that changed the history of Southern Africa. The Botswana envoy enhanced the work of Cuban doctors in his country.
