Fruitful meeting of the Ambassador of Cuba with the Director of Division 1 for the Americas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran.

The director of Division 1 for the Americas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Bahram Shahabodin received the Ambassador of Cuba, Alexis Bandrich Vega in a fruitful meeting during which they reviewed the state of bilateral relations and ratified the common interest in deepening the historic ties between our peoples and governments.

Ambassador of Cuba holds a meeting with the Director General for Human Rights and Women of the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

Tehran, October 28, 2020. The Ambassador of Cuba to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Alexis Bandrich Vega held a meeting at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with Dr. Zahra Ershadi, Director General for Human Rights and Women. Dr. Ershadi expressed praiseworthy words and congratulations to the people and government of Cuba on the occasion of the fifth election of our country as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council.

Informative note on the process of requesting an extension of stay abroad

Informative note

As part of the measures announced by the Cuban authorities, Cuban citizens and foreigners residing in Cuba who have exceeded their time abroad of 24 and 12 months respectively since March 19, must request an extension of stay in our office. For the period between March 19, 2020 and October 12, 2020, no charge will be made. After October 12, 2020, the rate established for this service will be charged. This measure is valid until October 12, 2021.

Declaration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba: “The United States strenhtens its campaign against Cuba´s international medical cooperation”.

The Cuban people and the international community are aware of the dishonest campaign that the government of the United States has launched since 2019 to discredit Cuba’s international medical cooperation; exert pressure on the governments that have asked for it and deprive peoples of these health services.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba denounces that, as part of that offensive, the US government has unleashed an array of pressures and blackmails against the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO).
