President of Cuba: Africa deserves global solidarity

Havana, May 25.- The president of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel affirmed that Africa deserves international solidarity and much more than just a single day, since the world is in debt with it.

The president tweeted on occasion of the celebration of Africa Day stressing that the continent demands 'centuries of attention' and the cooperation of all countries.

'The world grew rich by impoverishing it,' the resident tweeted and sent a hug 'to the continent with which we share ancestors and battles for independence and life.'

The Ambassador of Cuba to the State of Qatar paid a courtesy call to the Ambassador of Venezuela

HE Giuseppe Ángelo Carmelo Yoffreda Yorio, ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the State of Qatar, welcomed his Cuban counterpart, Ambassador Oscar León González, on the morning of this Sunday, May 23, 2021. Both held a fraternal meeting as an expression of the brotherly ties existing between Cuban and Venezuelan peoples.

I extend my sincere thanks for the invitation conveyed by Kazakhstan, in its condition as President Pro Tempore of the Eurasian Economic Union, to participate in this important meeting, the first I have the honor to attend, after the approval of the Observer status for my country on December 11, 2020.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba condemns in the strongest possible terms the attack on the Al-Aqsa mosque in occupied Jerusalem and the indiscriminate bombings against the Palestinian people living in the Gaza Strip by Israel’s military forces, which have caused more than one hundred deadly casualties, the destruction of infrastructure and heavy economic damage.
