Call for the XVII National Meeting of Cubans living in Canada

Ottawa, April 12. Members of the Association of Cuban Residents in Ottawa - Gatineau launched the call for the XVII National Meeting of Cuban Residents in Canada, which will take place in May, in the capital of the country.

Coinciding with the 129th anniversary of the fall of Cuba's National Hero, José Martí, this National Meeting will contribute to fostering unity among Cubans, in accordance with Martí's ideology and to continue the work carried out by our fellow Cubans, in a context marked by the intensification of the U.S. blockade.

Cuba present at the Travel and Vacation Show in Ottawa

On April 6 and 7, Cuba was represented at The Travel and Vacation Show, held at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa.
As part of this event, dozens of people visited the stand of the largest Antillean Island and were able to access information on the attractions and facilities of Cuba as a destination.
Around 1 million tourists from Canada visit Cuba every year, a figure that places this country as the main source market for Cuban tourism, reaffirming the island's preference among Canadians.


Conference of the Consul General of Cuba in Montreal on the Cuban reality

Ottawa, April 7, 2024. With the participation of more than 60 people, a Conference was held in Montreal, given by Susana Malmierca Beníez, Consul General of Cuba in Montreal.

The Conference provided an update on the Cuban reality and the main changes that have taken place on the island. The occasion contributed to condemn the unjust economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba, the main obstacle to the integral development of the Cuban people and its institutions.

Container of medical supplies sent from Toronto to Cuba

On March 16, the 79th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Canada, members of the Juan Gualberto Gómez Association of Cuban Residents in Toronto, Jennifer Raymer & Together for Cuba and members of the Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto joined forces to fill a container with medical supplies bound for Santiago de Cuba.

Those present condemned the U.S. blockade against our people and ratified their support for our Revolution.

Solidarity Movement in Ottawa welcomed the Cuban Ambassador to Canada, Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz

Ottawa, March 14, 2024-. Members of the Cuba solidarity movement in Ottawa welcomed Cuban Ambassador Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz during a pleasant meeting, where dialogue and love for our island prevailed.
During the event, the Cuban current affairs were discussed and the hostile policy of the U.S. government was condemned, mainly the economic, commercial and financial blockade, as well as the failed attempts to destabilize the Revolution.
