Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Carlos Fernández de Cossio paid a working visit to Ottawa from September 15 to 17. Within this framework, he held meetings with high authorities of the Government of Canada, the Department of Global Affairs (GAC) and with Senators and Deputies of the Canadian Parliament.
Following several investigations into alleged health incidents and symptoms reported by Government of Canada officials, Global Affairs Canada (GAC) informed that the Interdepartmental Task Force determined that there is no evidence to attribute the symptoms experienced by Canadian-based staff members and their dependents in Havana, Cuba, to a foreign agent or foreign agents.
The Cuban Embassy in Canada paid a heartfelt tribute to the Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, on the 98th anniversary of his birth. The event was attended by members of solidarity organizations, friends of Cuba and Cubans living in Canada.

As part of the visit of the Cuban Ambassador to Canada, Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, to the city of Fort Saskatchewan, he visited the Mayor's Office of this city.
