Cuban Ambassador presents Credentials in Nepal.

New Delhi, February 24, 2022.  The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba resident in India, Alejandro Simancas Marin, presented his Credentials to the President of Nepal, Her Excellency Bidhya Devi Bhandari, on Wednesday, February 23.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in India, Alejandro Simancas Marin, presented the commemorative stamp "60th Anniversary of the Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP)" to the Indian National Committee of Solidarity with Cuba and the All India Peace and Solidarity Organization (AIPSO), granted by this institution with the objective of recognizing the member associations of the Cuba Solidarity movement that have maintained an active work in defense of the Cuban Revolution, and contributed to disseminate the truth about its political, social and economic trans

Cuban Ambassador visited the National Law University of Delhi.

New Delhi, February 12th, 2022. The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to India, Alejandro Simancas Marin, visited the National Law University of Delhi where he received a warm welcome by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Srikishna Deva Rao. During the cordial meeting, the opportunities for cooperation between the Cuban institutions of higher education were evaluated.

Declaration by the revolutionary government

The revolutionary government condemns the continuance for over 60 years of the economic, commercial and financial sanctions formally imposed by the United States on 3rd February 1962. On that date, the then president, John F. Kennedy, issued Proclamation 3447, “Embargo on All Trade with Cuba” under Section 620(a) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961. He thereby conferred official status on the unilateral economic hostilities already in effect against Cuba since our country’s revolutionary victory.
