Health officials from Cuba and India hold a meeting.

The Minister of Public Health, José Ángel Portal, held a meeting with his Indian counterpart Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, in the framework of the 75th Assembly of the World Health Organization held in Geneva.

During the meeting, the health ministers discussed issues related to technological development and the production of medicines and evaluated bilateral cooperation in different areas of the sector.

 

Cuban Ambassador visits the Indian National Ayurveda Center.

The Cuban Ambassador, Alejandro Simancas Marin, visited the Indian National Institute of Ayurveda where he was received by its Director General, Tanuja Nesari, with whom he exchanged on joint cooperation actions to support the development of natural medicine in Cuba and the strengthening of the Center of Ayurveda Medicine in Havana. They also highlighted the different options for the training of Cuban specialists in this traditional medicine practice.

Cuba and India ratify commitment to the development of renewable energies.

The Cuban delegation of the renewable energy sector concluded its visit to India ratifying the commitment of both countries in the development of joint renewable energy projects. The director of renewable energies of the Unión Eléctrica, Ovel Concepción, together with specialists from the Ministry of Energy and Mines and the company Energoimport, held fruitful meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Renewable Energies of India, the Eximbank agency and companies and institutions of the sector.

Minister of State of the Indian Foreign Ministry attends tribute to José Martí.

The Embassy of Cuba in India, in collaboration with the "8one Foundation", held an activity in tribute to our National Hero José Martí, on the occasion of the 127th anniversary of his fall in combat. The event took place at the International Indian Center (IIC), one of the most important cultural spaces in the city, and was attended by Meenakashi Lekhi, Minister of State of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, who in her remarks had words of praise for the universal ideals of Martí in his struggle for independence and his commitment and duty to the Homeland.
