Cuban Ambassador visited the National Law University of Delhi.

New Delhi, February 12th, 2022. The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to India, Alejandro Simancas Marin, visited the National Law University of Delhi where he received a warm welcome by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Srikishna Deva Rao. During the cordial meeting, the opportunities for cooperation between the Cuban institutions of higher education were evaluated.

Declaration by the revolutionary government

The revolutionary government condemns the continuance for over 60 years of the economic, commercial and financial sanctions formally imposed by the United States on 3rd February 1962. On that date, the then president, John F. Kennedy, issued Proclamation 3447, “Embargo on All Trade with Cuba” under Section 620(a) of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961. He thereby conferred official status on the unilateral economic hostilities already in effect against Cuba since our country’s revolutionary victory.

Cuban Ambassador visited the Press Club of India.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Alejandro Simancas Marin, visited the headquarters of the Press Club of India, which brings together about four thousand journalists and associate members related to the media and communication. The Cuban diplomat had a cordial exchange with the president of the Club, Umakant Lakhera, and several journalists, where the historical ties of friendship that unite both peoples were highlighted.
