Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto participated in the activity for the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People

Members of the Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto participated in the activity for the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people together with the Palestinian community, representatives of the consular corps accredited in Toronto, Arab organizations and members of the Association of Cubans Juan Gualberto Gómez. 

In the event organized by the Palestinian House of Toronto, emotional messages of solidarity were conveyed and young people from that community performed typical Palestinian dances.

Consul General of Cuba in Toronto held a working meeting with Ontario's Associate Minister of Mental Health and Addictions.

The Consul General of Cuba in Toronto, Jorge Yanier Castellanos Orta, was received by Michael A. Tibollo, Associate Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, at the Ontario Legislature.

During the meeting, both agreed on the need to expand and strengthen ties between this important Canadian province and Cuba, especially on the eve of the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of uninterrupted diplomatic relations. They identified a group of actions that could contribute to achieving these objectives.

Cuban Ambassador to Canada met with Raymonde Gagné, Speaker of the Senate of Canada

Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, Ambassador of Cuba to Canada was received by the Honorable Raymonde Gagné,  Speaker of the Senate of the North American country.

 

In a cordial atmosphere, both figures exchanged on the good state of bilateral relations, which will reach their 80th anniversary in 2025. The occasion was also propitious to highlight the existing potentialities to promote the links between both nations, especially in economic, commercial and parliamentary matters.

 

Toronto paid tribute to the Commander in Chief

On the evening of November 25, the sixth anniversary of the physical disappearance of our Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro, was commemorated in Toronto, in a warm activity organized by the solidarity group Toronto Forum On Cuba.

Those present learned more about Fidel's life through the screening of documentaries and several musical presentations were made to pay tribute to his legacy.
