Many Pay Tribute to Fidel Castro, Leader of Cuban Revolution, in Canada

Ottawa November, 28th.- Canadian and Latin American friends as well as Cuban residents, have staged various demonstrations in several Canadian cities this week to pay their respects and show their affection to Fidel Castro, the Leader of the Cuban Revolution, who passed away on the night of November 25.

Condolences Book Opened in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto

Ottawa, November 26, 2016.- The Cuban Embassy in Canada imforms that a Book of Condolences on the death of former President of Cuba, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, will be officially opened on Monday, November 28, at our Embassy, from 9:30 am to 5:30 p.m. It will remain open until Friday, December 2, 2016.

The general consulates of Cuba in Montreal and Toronto, meanwhile, will keep open their books of condolences during this week, at the same time.

CUBA, 26 November 2016 .- The Organizing Commission of the Central Committee of the Party, State and Government for the funeral rites of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, informs the populace that as of 29 November, from 09:00 until 22:00, at the José Marti Memorial, the population of the capital may present themselves to pay their respects in tribute to their leader.  The hours will be extended until 29 November from 9:00 to 12:00.

OTTAWA - Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will retrace some of his father's most historic footsteps next week when he travels to Cuba and quite possibly meets an old family friend — retired Cuban leader Fidel Castro.
