Cuba ratifies its commitment to regular, orderly and safe emigration
Statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the last months and weeks, the irregular migratory flow of Cuban citizens through the Central American corridor bound for the United States has experienced noticeable growth, which in turn increases the probability of the occurrence of regrettable events, such as the recent road accident in Mexican territory, in which several of our compatriots lost their lives, including a minor.
Ambassador Pedro Pablo San Jorge received Ureerat Chareontoh, General Director of the Thai International Cooperation Agency (TICA) and his team at the Cuban residence to follow up on the commitments agreed upon during their recent visit to Havana and see possibilities of carrying out actions of cooperation between the two countries.
The Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, denounced on his Twitter account a terrorist attack perpetrated on the night of Sunday, September 24 against the Cuban embassy in the United States. Apparently, an individual threw two Molotov cocktails. So far, no injuries to personnel have been reported and details are being clarified.
It is the second violent attack against the Cuban diplomatic headquarters in Washington since April 2020. On that occasion, an individual fired an assault rifle at the headquarters.
