Cuba receives funds raised in Australia to fight COVID-19

Canberra, 10 August, 2020.- The fundraising campaign promoted by the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS) concluded, and Cuba received a cash donation of 58,000 Australian dollars to support its efforts in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.

National Rebellion Day is commemorated in Australia

Canberra, July 26, 2020. The Cuban Embassy in Australia commemorated on the eve the anniversary of July 26 in the city of Canberra along with a representation of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society.

The Cuban ambassador, Ariel Lorenzo Rodríguez, recalled the significance of such an important date in the country's history which has become a symbol of faith in victory for all Cubans by making Fidel the undisputed leader of the revolutionary process that conquered the definitive independence of Cuba on January 1, 1959.

Australia-Cuba Parliamentary Group is reactivated in Australia

Canberra, July 20, 2020.- After the Australian federal election in May 2019 and the constitution of a new legislature, the Australia-Cuba Parliamentary Group was officially reactivated at the Australian Federal Parliament, thus giving continuity to the efforts for strengthening parliamentary relations and ties of friendship between both countries.
