Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba

Between April 19 and 21, 2024, 248 Cuban citizens who had traveled to the Republic of Haiti on private business were transferred to Cuba. It was an operation coordinated by the Cuban authorities with the support of the Cuban Embassy in Haiti and the permanent accompaniment of officials of our diplomatic mission.

Cuban ambassador participates in concert in solidarity with the Palestinian people

Canberra, 18 April 2024. The Cuban Ambassador Tanieris Diéguez participated in a concert in solidarity with the Palestinian people sponsored by the Embassies of Palestine and Turkey in Australia.

It was moving to listen to the voice of Ayse Goknur Shanal and the musicians who accompanied her, with heartfelt pieces that reflected the pain of the Palestinian people.

Cuba and the United States hold immigration talks in Washington DC

Washington, April 16, 2024 - On April 16, 2024, representatives of Cuba and the United States held bilateral migration talks in Washington DC. 

Deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernández de Cossío Domínguez headed the Cuban delegation and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the State Department's Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs Eric Jacobstein led the U.S. delegation.
