Canberra, October 27, 2020.- Last Sunday, the Cuban Embassy in Australia attended the inauguration of the Baseball 5 season in the state of New South Wales, which was held in the capital city of Sydney. In addition, executives of the Australian Baseball Federation, fans of this sport and a representation of the Cuban resident’s community were present.
Canberra, October 20, 2020.- A group of Cuban artists residing in several states of Australia, joined in an audiovisual project along with the Embassy of Cuba to celebrate the Day of Cuban Culture.
Ballet and popular rhythms dancers, as well as musicians and scholars of the Afro-Cuban religion, tell us from their individual experiences how they have contributed to promoting Cuban culture in this distant country through their artistic work, and to keep alive the sense of Cuban identity from its authenticity and the unshakable attachment to its roots.
Canberra, 14 September 2020.- The Australia-Cuba Friendship Association (ACFS), joined the call launched by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) on 12 September to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the unjust imprisonment of the Five Cuban Heroes by the government of the United States. From there, “The Five” prevented the materialisation of terrorist actions against Cuba.
