Cuban residents in Australia celebrate National Culture Day

Canberra, October 20, 2020.- A group of Cuban artists residing in several states of Australia, joined in an audiovisual project along with the Embassy of Cuba to celebrate the Day of Cuban Culture.

Ballet and popular rhythms dancers, as well as musicians and scholars of the Afro-Cuban religion, tell us from their individual experiences how they have contributed to promoting Cuban culture in this distant country through their artistic work, and to keep alive the sense of  Cuban identity from its authenticity and the unshakable attachment to its roots.

The campaign for the release of the Five Cuban Heroes was remembered in Australia

Canberra, 14 September 2020.- The Australia-Cuba Friendship Association (ACFS), joined the call launched by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) on 12 September  to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the unjust imprisonment of the Five Cuban Heroes by the government of the United States. From there, “The Five” prevented the materialisation of terrorist actions against Cuba.
