Cuban Head of Mission participates in inauguration ceremony of the new Liberian President.

Monrovia, January 22, 2024 - The inauguration of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai and Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung took place early this morning in the Liberian capital.

The historic event was attended by the Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera who represented our nation as a member of the diplomatic corps accredited in the West African country.

The investiture took place at the Capitol of Monrovia and was attended by leaders and delegations from several countries.

Monrovia, January 17, 2024 - At the invitation of Liberian Foreign Minister Dee Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera attended the inauguration ceremony of the restored Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia.

The event was attended by President George Manneh Weah, government officials of the Executive, as well as members of the 55th National Legislature.

Cuban Head of Mission held meeting with Assistant Minister for American Affairs of the Liberian Foreign Ministry.

Monrovia, January 16, 2024 - This morning, the Head of the Cuban Mission in Liberia Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera held a fraternal meeting with the Assistant Minister for American Affairs of the Liberian Foreign Ministry, Honorable Maxwell P. Vah.

Both diplomats exchanged on bilateral and multilateral issues of interest to both parties, and upcoming changes in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the West African country.

Cuban Head of Mission meets with political leader MacDella Cooper.

Monrovia, January 10, 2024 - In the afternoon, the Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera received at the diplomatic headquarters the visit of political leader MacDella Cooper who in the meeting expressed her good wishes for the New Year.

During the fraternal exchange, Mrs. Cooper referred to the achievements of women and their continuous struggle for empowerment, referring to Cuba as one of the countries where women are at the center of the economic and social development of the country.
