Port of Spain, June 28, 2024. The Embassy of Cuba participated this morning in the Showcase 2024 Program, organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Education of the University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine Campus.
The activity was chaired by the Dean of the Faculty, Elizabeth Walcott-Hackshaw and Dr. Rawatee Maharaj-Sharma, Director of the School of Education. The exhibition showcased part of the Cuban cultural heritage through silkscreen prints, books and handicrafts.
Port of Spain. The Cuban Embassy held a meeting with a representation of Cuban residents in Trinidad and Tobago.
The meeting allowed for an exchange on various topics of interest to the Cuban Community, including an update on the consular services offered by the Embassy and investment opportunities in Cuba.

On May 28, the Government of the United States finally announced a group of measures aimed at implementing the policy announced on May 16, 2022. The purpose of this step, according to the text published by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), is to support the private sector in Cuba.
