Cuba and Trinidad and Tobago sign Agreement on Technical Cooperation in Health matters.

Havana, April 24th, 2018. Within the framework of the 2018 Health Convention for all, taking place in Havana Cuba, the Minister of Health of Trinidad and Tobago Honourable Terrence Deyalsingh and the Minister of Public Health of Cuba Dr. Roberto Morales Ojeda, signed the Bilateral Agreement in Health matters.

Both parts previously held an exchange and verified the good development of bilateral relations in health matters.

Cuba and José Martí present at festivities for the International Book and Spanish Language Day in Trinidad and Tobago.

Port of Spain, April 23.- In collaboration with the National Library of Trinidad and Tobago (NALIS) and the Spain and Latin American Embassies, accredited in Port of Spain, a marathon of children's stories in the Spanish language was held at the NALIS headquarters. The event involved hundreds of children representing secondary schools in the country, where the Spanish language is part of the teaching program.

As part of the program of the event each of the Latin American countries, represented by their embassies, had the opportunity to prepare a space to highlight the most valuable of their children's literature, as well as aspects of the educational system and activity with children in their respective Nations.

Cuba present at the Latin American Film Festival "CineLit 2018"

Port of Spain, April 21st, 2018. With the participation of the Latin American, Caribbean and Spanish Embassies, accredited in Trinidad and Tobago, the Latin American Film Festival, known as "CineLit", was launched as part of the program of activities of the Literary Festival ¨Bocas Lit¨, which was hosted by the National Library (NALIS).

On this occasion, Cuba is represented by the biographical film "El Beny", dedicated to the famous and great Cuban musician Benny Moré, as well as the documentary "Guamá", where a particular Cuban experience in the protection and care of coastal mangroves in an eastern province of the country is shown.

CUBA, April 19, 2018.- On the morning of April 19, a historic date on which not only is the first defeat of Yankee imperialism in the Americas commemorated, but Cuba also sees the inauguration of a new government that makes evident the continuity of the new generations with the legacy of the historic generation that founded the Cuban Revolution in the highest leadership positions of the country, compañero Miguel Mario Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, offered his first speech as President of the Councils of State and of Ministers of Cuba.

He began by recognizing the leadership of Army General Raúl Castro, the candidate for deputy to have received the most votes in the recent general elections; as well as the Comandantes of the Revolution, “who on being in this room offer us the opportunity to embrace history,” he noted.
