Statement Calling for the Removal of Cuba from U.S. State Department’s State Sponsor of Terrorism List

Belmopan, May 23, 2024.

The Government of Belize is deeply concerned with the arbitrary decision of the Government of the United States of America to continue to list the Republic of Cuba on the U.S. State Department’s website as State Sponsors of Terrorism (SSOT).

The Government of Belize denounces these baseless accusations as there is no evidence that the Government of the Republic of Cuba is involved in any such activities.

Cuban medical brigade in Belize holds national scientific day.

Belize City, May 18, 2024.- Dedicated to honoring the 129th anniversary of the fall in combat of the National Hero José Martí, the Cuban medical brigade in this sister Central American country celebrated its national scientific day.

At the scientific conclave, 14 works were presented in different modalities, linked to the main pathologies that occur in the public health services provided to the Belizean people.
